LAT

The LAT protein encoded by the gene of the same name, plays a key role in the diversification of T cell signaling pathways following activation of the T-cell antigen receptor (TCR) signal transduction pathway, which is first catalyzed by TCR binding to MHC class II.
Protein class

Disease related genes, Plasma proteins, RAS pathway related proteins

Predicted location

Intracellular, Membrane (different isoforms)

Single cell type specificity

Group enriched (NK-cells, T-cells, dendritic cells, granulocytes, Macrophages)

Immune cell specificity

Group enriched (T-reg, basophil, memory CD8 T-cell, gdT-cell, memory CD4 T-cell, naive CD4 T-cell, naive CD8 T-cell, MAIT T-cell, NK-cell)

Cell line specificity

Cell line enhanced (HEL, HMC-1, MOLT-4)

Interaction

When phosphorylated, interacts directly with the PIK3R1 subunit of phosphoinositide 3-kinase and the SH2 domains of GRB2, GRAP, GRAP2, PLCG1 and PLCG2. Interacts indirectly with CBL, SOS, VAV, and LCP2. Interacts with SHB, SKAP2 and CLNK (By similarity). Interacts with FCGR1A. Interacts with GRB2, PLCG1 and THEMIS upon TCR activation in thymocytes (By similarity). Interacts with THEMIS2 (By similarity).
