Recombinant Anti-CD28 × Anti-melanoma-associated proteoglycan Bispecific Antibody (Tandem Diabody) is a bispecific fusion protein with four binding sites, two of which bind to antigens of one kind of cells and the other two to the other kind of cells. The BsAb can induce a TCR/CD3 independent, "supraagonistic" stimulation of the CD28 molecule on resting human T cells, which depends on tumor cell binding and results in tumor cell killing. It was designed for the treatment of melanoma.
