Monensin

Monensin, also called "rumen element" (rumensin), is a kind of ruminants extensively used in feed additive, a former Streptomyces (streptonyces cinnamonesis), the production of a substance that has the control of volatile fatty acids in the rumen, reduce the degradation of protein in rumen, cut down the consumption of feed of dry matter, and improve the utilization rate of nutrients and improve the utilization efficiency of animal energy function. The molecular formula is C36H61O11 and the molecular weight is 670. The premix is yellow-brown particles or powder. Monocyanin is a polyether ion-carrier antibiotic mainly used to control chicken, lamb, calf, rabbit coccidiosis and promote the growth of ruminants. Mononitin can affect the balance of ions in the worm body, resulting in its rupture and death. The next day after infection, the worm develops to the first generation of schizosomal stage. The monobactin can also improve the yield of rumen propionic acid, the utilization rate of feed and the rate of weight gain. The monenoxin has a strong effect on gram-positive bacteria (especially staphylococcus aureus, streptococcus, bacillus subtilis) and porcine spirulina.
