Rabbit Anti-PBK Recombinant Antibody (clone R05-1B6) (CAT#: VS3-FY1816)

The R05-1B6 is a rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that with high affinity for human PBK. It cross-reacts with mouse. It is suitable for use in a variety of assays, including WB, IHC-P, IP. The R05-1B6 is recommended for dilution of target protein by western blot (dilution 1/500-1/1000), immunohistochemistry (dilution 1/50-1/100), immunoprecipitation (dilution 1/20).

Target

  • Alternative Names
  • PDZ Binding Kinase; T-LAK Cell-Originated Protein Kinase; Cancer/Testis Antigen 84; Spermatogenesis-Related Protein Kinase; MAPKK-Like Protein Kinase; Nori-3; CT84; TOPK
  • Sequence Similarities
  • Belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. STE Ser/Thr protein kinase family. MAP kinase kinase subfamily.
  • Post Translation Modifications
  • Phosphorylated; in a cell-cycle dependent manner at mitosis. (Q96KB5-TOPK_HUMAN)
    Ubiquitination at Lys8, Lys90, and Lys132 (NX_Q96KB5 [NX_Q96KB5-1])
    Modification sites at PhosphoSitePlus (Q96KB5)
    Glycosylation from GlyGen (Q96KB5) 1 site, 1 O-linked glycan (1 site)
  • Function
  • Phosphorylates MAP kinase p38. Seems to be active only in mitosis. May also play a role in the activation of lymphoid cells. When phosphorylated, forms a complex with TP53, leading to TP53 destabilization and attenuation of G2/M checkpoint during doxorubicin-induced DNA damage.
