Anti-HIV Vif Intrabody [+36GFP] (IAB-B036(G))

Recombinant anti-HIV Vif intrabody in fusion with +36GFP works within cells and is directed against HIV Vif, expressed in CHO cells. This intrabody efficiently bound Vif protein and neutralized its infectivity-enhancing function. Intrabody-expressing cells were shown to be highly refractory to challenge with different strains of HIV-1 and HIV-1-infected cells.

Specifications
Immunogen
Human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1)-encoded Vif protein
Host
rabbit
Type
scFv-(+36GFP)
Cell Penetrating Peptide
+36 GFP
GFP with a theoretical net charge of +36 (+36 GFP) penetrated several different mammalian cell lines at very low (nanomolar) concentrations. Cationic peptides and proteins have been observed to penetrate cells, and both natural and synthetic cell-penetrating peptides are widely used as delivery vehicles. However, whereas a covalent link between the cell-penetrating peptide and its cargo is typically required.
Species Reactivity
HIV

Used for immunoassay techniques such as: Protein fragment complementation; Neutralization; Functional studies
