This product is a recombinant monoclonal antibody Fab fragment (clone 7C4) taht specially binds to HIV-1 reverse transcriptase. 7C4 is a mouse monoclonal antibody that can specifically and almost completely inhibit the RNAdependent DNA polymerase activity of HIV-1 reverse transcriptase.

SDS-PAGE analysis of FAMAB-0297JF-F(E) in β-mercaptoethanol-reduced (Lane 1, 1.5 μg) and non-reduced (Lane 2, 1.5 μg) conditions. Gel stained for 30 minutes with Coomassie Blue. As a result of different reduced proteins (heavy chain and light chain) migrate as about 25 kDa.

The purity of FAMAB-0297JF-F(E) was 99.3664% as determined by SEC-HPLC.

Western blot analysis of FAMAB-0297JF-F(E) was performed by loading recombinant reverse transcriptase onto a 12% Tris-HCl polyacrylamide gel. Proteins were transferred to a NC membrane and blocked with 5% skim milk for at least one hour. Membranes were probed with FAMAB-0297JF-F(E) and HRP conjugated Anti-mouse IgG as a secondary antibody (1: 2000). Chemiluminescent detection was performed.
Lane 1: Reduced antigen (1.5 μg)
Lane 2: Reduced antigen (1.0 μg)
Lane 3: Reduced antigen (0.5 μg)

ELISA analysis of FAMAB-0297JF-F(E) was performed by coating with recombinant reverse transcriptase. Then blocked with BSA and incubated with FAMAB-0297JF-F(E). The HRP conjugated Anti-mouse IgG as a secondary antibody (1: 2000). Detection was performed using TMB substrate and stopped with sulfuric acid. The absorbances were read on a spectrophotometer at 450 nm.
