Vero membrane protein extracts were precipitated with JEV and anti-JEV mAb 2H4, and subjected to SDS-PAGE under non-reducing conditions. Three novel bands at approximately 43, 55 and 95 kDa (indicated by red arrows) in the Co-IP lane were noticed, and the gels were excised for mass spectrometry analyses.

High concentrations of 2F2 and 2H4 prevented attachment of JEV to the cell surface when JEV was exposed to antibodies before cell attachment. b, 2F2 and 2H4 block low-pH-induced fusion of JEV with liposomes. The liposomes were loaded with self-quenching concentrations of the fluorescent dye calcein. Fusion of JEV with liposomes occurred at pH 5.6.
