Rabbit Anti-SETD7 Recombinant Antibody (clone R05-3B6) (CAT#: VS3-XY3502)

The recombinant rabbit antibody reacts with SETD7 (SET domain containing 7, histone lysine methyltransferase), which plays a central role in the transcriptional activation of genes. This antibody specifically reacts with human, mouse and rat SETD7. It has been tested using Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. The recommended dilutions of Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation is 1/500-1/1000 and 1/20.

    Recruited by IPF1/PDX-1 to the insulin promoter, leading to activate transcription (PubMed:16141209).
    Has also methyltransferase activity toward non-histone proteins such as CGAS, p53/TP53, TAF10, and possibly TAF7 by recognizing and binding the [KR]-[STA]-K in substrate proteins.
