Social Media & Business Development Manager
Essential Responsibilities
Content Creation & Editing
- Develop, edit, and curate engaging content (including text, graphics, videos, and articles) for various social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and others.
- Craft compelling social media posts that highlight the company’s products, services, and industry expertise, tailored to each platform’s audience and format.
- Maintain a consistent voice and messaging that aligns with the company’s brand and values.
Social Media Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement social media strategies to increase engagement, drive traffic to the company website, and promote products and services.
- Monitor and analyze social media trends to identify new opportunities for content creation and audience engagement.
- Plan and execute social media campaigns that align with marketing initiatives and company goals.
Community Management
- Engage with followers and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Build and maintain relationships with key influencers, industry professionals, and potential clients through social media platforms.
Event Participation & Content Capture
- Occasionally attend industry events, conferences, or webinars to capture content (photos, videos, live updates) for social media platforms.
- Represent the company at events and help expand its visibility and online engagement.
Collaboration with Marketing & Business Development Teams
- Collaborate with the marketing, and product teams to align social media efforts with broader marketing campaigns and business goals.
- Assist with content planning for special product launches, events, and initiatives that require cross-functional input.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing, preferably within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industries.
- Proven experience creating engaging content and growing a brand’s social media presence.
- Strong proficiency in social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.), with an understanding of platform-specific best practices.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling and engaging content.
- Ability to think creatively and outside the box to develop fresh and engaging ideas for social media.
- Comfortable with occasional travel for industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
