Antibody Magnetic Beads

Antibody Magnetic Beads are produced by coupling target-specific antibodies to magnetic beads. Creative Biolabs has designed these beads for immunoprecipitation and target protein purification. This process uses antibodies attached to the bead surface to enrich target proteins from a variety of samples ranging from small to medium volumes. The antibody-coated magnetic beads feature low non-specific binding, high capacity, and ease of use, offering significant advantages for high-throughput purification.

Product Feature

  • Large bead size: Selected magarose beads with a large binding surface of 10-37 µm are used for better target protein binding.
  • High capacity: 1 mL of magnetic beads can be covalently coupled with 20-30 mg/mL of specific antibodies for efficient purification.
  • High-throughput: Enables parallel sample processing for protein purification from volumes ranging from 20 µL to 50 mL.
  • High efficiency: Efficient antibody binding from a variety of samples.
  • Low non-specific binding: High-affinity recombinant antibodies are coupled on the beads, specifically capturing the target protein in biological samples.
  • Flexibility: Can be operated manually or automatically with ease.

General Workflow

  • Step 1: Add the magnetic beads with specific monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) to the sample.
  • Step 2: Incubate the beads in the samples to allow target proteins to interact with the antibodies on the bead surface.
  • Step 3: Collect the protein-bound beads using a magnet.
  • Step 4: Wash to remove non-specific proteins.
  • Step 5: Elute proteins from the beads and neutralize them for downstream applications.

Applications

  • Protein isolation: Ideal for isolating proteins or peptides due to low non-specific binding, perfect for high-throughput processes.
  • Immunoprecipitation: Suitable for small-scale isolation of specific proteins (IP) and protein complexes (co-IP).
  • Cell sorting: Isolate single cell types from heterogeneous populations using beads coupled with specific antibodies against cell surface markers.
  • Exosome isolation: Designed to isolate exosomes containing various marker proteins and nucleic acids.
  • Nucleic acids purification: Magnetic beads with functionalized silica surfaces can purify various types of nucleic acids, including genomic DNA, plasmids, RNA, and mitochondrial DNA.
