HCMV gH/gL antibody binding competition in an ELISA assay. Significant reduction in signal indicates competition between the capturing antibody and the detection antibody.

VR1814 or VR1814-MSL109R was incubated with 10-fold dilutions of antibody for 1 hr prior to the infection of NN-NHDF cells. Twenty-four hours p.i., cells were stained for IE1/2 protein. The IC₅₀ value was calculated for each antibody using the percentage of IE1/2-positive cells compared to the untreated control.
