This product is a recombinant human anti-Human Cytomegalovirus monoclonal antibody (13H11). 13H11 specifically binds to envelope glycoprotein gH associated with HCMV and can be potentially used in the treatment and diagnosis of human Cytomegalovirus infection.
Figure 1 HCMV gH/gL antibody binding competition.
HCMV gH/gL antibody binding competition in an ELISA assay. On the x-axis are the individual capturing monoclonal antibodies; on the y-axis is the optical density determined spectrophotometrically at 450 nm. Each graph represents the results from addition of one biotinylated detection antibody. Significant reduction in signal indicates competition between the capturing antibody and the detection antibody.
Antigenic Characterization of the HCMV gH/gL/gO and Pentamer Cell Entry Complexes Reveals Binding Sites for Potently Neutralizing Human Antibodies
Figure 2 MSL-109 Binds to HCMV gH/gL in a Cell-Associated Form.
Adenoviruses were used to express either gH/gL or gB in ARPE-19 cells. Cell surface glycoprotein expression was detected using MSL-109, ITC88, or 13H11 antibodies.
Human Cytomegalovirus Escapes a Naturally Occurring Neutralizing Antibody by Incorporating It into Assembling Virions
Figure 3 VR1814-MSL109R Has Escaped MSL-109.
VR1814 or VR1814-MSL109R was incubated with 10-fold dilutions of antibody for 1 hr prior to the infection of NN-NHDF cells. Twenty-four hours p.i., cells were stained for IE1/2 protein. The IC₅₀ value was calculated for each antibody using the percentage of IE1/2-positive cells compared to the untreated control.

Figure 4 MSL-109 Binds to HCMV gH/gL in a Cell-Associated Form.
gH and gB were immunoprecipitated from an equivalent number of purified infectious virions using MSL-109, 13H11, or ITC88. The presence of gH or gB was detected by immunoblotting.
