Recently, the pneumonia outbreak caused by a novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) in Wuhan, China. So far, this disease has caused thousands of people of lethal disease and more and more cases are diagnosed all over the world. Therefore, it is important to establish a quick detection test for the detection of this disease in order to prevent subsequent secondary spread. Creative Biolabs now provides the SARS-CoV-2 fluorescent RT-PCR detection kit for supporting SARS-CoV-2 diagnosis and researches. This fluorescent RT-PCR detection kit (Detection for 3 Genes) is used for the in vitro qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 RNA in upper respiratory tract specimens (nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal extracts) and lower respiratory tract specimens (bronchoalveolar lavage fluid and deep cough sputum) by real-time PCR systems.
Principles of Fluorescent RT-PCR Detection Kit
The principle of real-time detection is based on the fluorogenic 5’ nuclease assay. During the PCR reaction process, DNA polymerase will cleave the probe at the 5’ end and separate the reporter dye from the quencher dye only when the probe hybridizes to the target DNA. This cleavage leads to the fluorescent signal generated by the cleaved reporter dye, which is monitored in real-time via the PCR detection system. The PCR cycle at which an increase in the fluorescence signal is detected initially (Ct) is proportional to the amount of the specific PCR product. Monitoring the fluorescence intensities in real-time can allow the detection of the accumulating product without having to re-open the reaction tube after the amplification. Except that, real-time reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction (real-time RT-PCR) is employed. In this method, RNA is first transcribed into the complementary DNA (cDNA) by reverse transcriptase from total RNA. The cDNA is then used as a template for the real-time PCR.
Features of Fluorescent RT-PCR Detection Kit
There is a specific ready-to-use system for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 RNA by the real-time RT-PCR assay in a single tube. Fluorescence is emitted and measured via the real-time systems optical unit during the PCR action. At Creative Biolabs, we now provide this efficient and high-quality kit for supporting the researches of SARS-CoV-2 at an affordable price. If you want to know more information about fluorescent RT-PCR detection kits for SARS-CoV-2 or other detection kits for SARS-CoV-2, such as detection kit (Colloidal Gold Method), SARS-CoV-2 ELISA kit, and relative SARS-CoV-2 antibodies for scientific researches, please feel free to contact us.
