SOS1

The SOS1 gene is an oncogene discovered in 2002 and is one of the HCF pathogenic genes that have been successfully cloned and identified. The SOS1 gene is located in the short arm 21 regions of chromosome 2 and plays an oncogene role in tumor cells. Domestic studies have shown that this gene is positively correlated with gingival fibromatosis and myocardial disease. Foreign studies have shown that SOS1 is positively correlated with the malignant degree of glioma and the proliferation of tumor cells. The role of SOS1 in carcinoid genes in tumor cells has attracted more and more attention. SOS1 can interact with MAPK pathway to introduce exogenous genes into the nucleus to regulate cell proliferation. With knockout of SOS1 gene or inhibition of SOS1 gene expression, it can be found that the proliferation of tumor cells is inhibited, and even the apoptosis of tumor cells is caused. SOS1 also interacts with a variety of genes, which are key to the regulation of tumor growth by other genes, but few have found a complete chain of action from the initiating factor to the eventual abnormal proliferation of the tumor. SOS2 is adjacent to the SOS1 locus. The positional structure determines the function, so SOS2 plays an oncogene function similar to SOS1 in tumors and inhibits the proliferation of tumor cells as long as the expression of SOS1/SOS2 is inhibited.
