Recombinant Anti-Myosin× Anti-CD45 Bispecific Antibody (Tandem Diabody) is a bispecific fusion protein with four binding sites, two of which bind to antigens of one kind of cells and the other two to the other kind of cells. Tandem Diabodies do not carry Fc domains. So they are smaller than whole IgGs or IgG-derived BsAbs but larger than tandem scFvs. Therefore, they have a shorter serum half-life than IgGs but remain longer in the circulation compared with tandem scFvs. This BsAb is capable of inhibiting signaling of their cognate factorrs and a combined blockade of them has a greater inhibitory efficacy compared with inhibition of either factor alone. It was designed for the treatment of myocardial infarction.
