PE-A*08:01/CMV MLE (ELKRKMIYM) MHC Tetramer (CAT#: MHC-LC1034)

This product is a tetramer of biotinylated peptide/MHC complex with streptavidin mainly composed of CMV MLE-derived peptide of ELKRKMIYM covering 51-59 and A*08:01 molecule. The pMHC tetramer recognizes CD8 T cells, and can be used in the analysis of individual antigen-specific T cells.

  • Antigen Introduction
  • Human cytomegalovirus is a species of the Cytomegalovirus genus of viruses, which in turn is a member of the viral family known as Herpesviridae or herpesviruses. It is typically abbreviated as HCMV or, commonly but more ambiguously, as CMV. It is also known as human herpesvirus-5 (HHV-5). The major immediate-early (IE) gene of human cytomegalovirus (CMV) is believed to have a decisive role in acute infection and its activity is an important indicator of viral reactivation from latency. Although a variety of gene products are expressed from this region, the 72-kDa IE1 and the 86-kDa IE2 nuclear phosphoproteins are the most abundant and important. Both proteins have long been recognized as promiscuous transcriptional regulators.
  • Alternative Names
  • MLE; Major immediate-early protein
