- This gene is a member of the inhibitor of apoptosis (IAP) gene family, which encode negative regulatory proteins that prevent apoptotic cell death. IAP family members usually contain multiple baculovirus IAP repeat (BIR) domains, but this gene encodes proteins with only a single BIR domain. The encoded proteins also lack a C-terminus RING finger domain. Gene expression is high during fetal development and in most tumors, yet low in adult tissues. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene.

High Quality Survivin Tetramer
We successfully used this A*02:01 tetramer to detect T cells reactive to the Survivin peptide RISTFKNWPFL. The APC conjugate provided a strong signal, and we observed clear populations in our flow cytometry assays. It is an essential reagent for our studies on tumor-associated antigens.
Reliable Tool For BIRC5 Studies
This product enabled us to analyze the immune response against the BIRC5 gene product in human samples. The specificity of the pMHC complex for CD8 T cells was evident, and the results were reproducible. It greatly supported our research into apoptosis inhibitor family members.
