The Extrathymic Double-positive T Cell Makers Antibody Panel is a set of 4 antibodies against mouse extrathymic Double-positive (DP) T cell makers (TCR, Cd3, Cd4, Cd8). This antibody panel facilitates the detection of extrathymic CD4⁺CD8⁺ double-positive T cells. It is suitable for investigating these rare T cell populations found in peripheral non-lymphoid tissues.

- Introduction
- While CD4⁺CD8⁺ cells are usually developing thymocytes, extrathymic DP cells can be found in the gut (IELs) or arise from CD4⁺ cells re-expressing CD8α (or vice versa) during inflammation. In the gut, they often represent a regulatory or highly activated effector phenotype tailored to the mucosal environment.
