Background
PvDBP has been divided into six distinct regions, with the DARC binding site mapped to a ~350 amino acid residue Duffy-binding-like (DBL) domain known as Region II, PvDBPII. This domain is split into three regions, known as subdomains.
                                Protein class
                                        Metabolic proteins, Transcription factors
Predicted location
                                        Intracellular
Single cell type specificity
Cell type enhanced (Bipolar cells, Horizontal cells, Muller glia cells, Rod photoreceptor cells)
Immune cell specificity
                                        Low immune cell specificity
