Lymphocyte Marker

Lymphocytes are a diverse group of white blood cells (leukocytes) that are fundamental to the adaptive immune system, providing specific and long-lasting immunity against pathogens and abnormal cells. They are characterized by a large nucleus and a relatively small amount of cytoplasm. While specific surface markers distinguish their various subsets (T cells, B cells, NK cells), certain "general lymphocyte markers" are broadly expressed across most or all of these populations, making them invaluable for identifying and enumerating total lymphocyte populations in research and clinical settings.
