MERS-CoV NP

Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV) continues causing fatal infections and limited hospital acquired transmissions in affected regions since its emergence in 2012.Members from coronavirus family can cause diseases both in human and variety of animal species, ranging from mild respiratory symptoms to ARDS. Patients infected with MERS-CoV develop severe respiratory disease, including fever, cough, labored breath, accompanying with acute renal dysfunction and death. Nucleoprotein (NP) is the main core structural protein of MERS-CoV and can be used as a target for early diagnosis.
