Background

The zinc finger protein PLAGL1 is a protein encoded by the PLAGL1 gene in humans.
This gene encodes a C2H2 zinc finger protein with transactivation and DNA binding activity. This gene has shown anti-proliferative activity and is a candidate gene for tumor suppressor genes. Many transcript variants of this gene have been found to encode two different isoforms.
