Background
Thioredoxin (TRX) is a small ubiquitous protein (MW12kDa) which is exist in a wide variety of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. Trx contains a redox active disulfide/dithiol group within the conserved Cys-Gly-Pro-Cys active site.
