Background
ndx1, or Diadenosine hexaphosphate hydrolase, is an enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of diadenosine hexaphosphate (Ap6A) into two molecules of ATP and four molecules of inorganic phosphate. Ap6A is a signaling molecule involved in various cellular processes, and Ndx1 helps regulate its levels.
