Specific Without Cross-Reactivity
Specificity is key when studying MMPs. Clone EML769 was a great choice for our Western Blots because it recognizes human MMP15 without cross-reacting with the closely related MMP14 or MMP16, giving us confidence in our matrix metalloproteinase data.
Works For IHC-P
We used this antibody for Immunohistochemistry on paraffin-embedded sections to localize MMP15 expression. The staining was clean and specific, allowing us to visualize the membrane-type MMP distribution in tissue samples relevant to our tissue remodeling research.

specific is this antibody to MMP15?
A: Clone EML769 recognizes human MMP15 specifically. In Western Blot analysis, it does not show cross-reactivity with the related human MMP14 or MMP16 proteins. Reactivity with MMP15 in species other than humans has not yet been tested.

Can this antibody be used for Immunohistochemistry?
A: Yes, this antibody is suitable for Immunohistochemistry on paraffin-embedded sections (IHC-P), as well as Western Blot. It allows for the detection of Matrix Metallopeptidase 15, a membrane-type MMP expressed at the cell surface, in tissue samples.
