The anti-CFP eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against human CFP. CFP stabilizes complement pathways, with mutations leading to properdin deficiency. The antibody has a novel CFP-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble CFP from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
