Recombinant Anti-COL7A1 Eliminating Antibody, pH-Sensitive (CBLNC-102 var.)

The anti-COL7A1 eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against human COL7A1. COL7A1 alpha chain forms type VII collagen, crucial for skin integrity, with mutations causing epidermolysis bullosa. The antibody has a novel COL7A1-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble COL7A1 from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
