The anti-GAST eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against human GAST. GAST is a gastrin, a hormone stimulating gastric acid secretion and mitogenesis in gastrointestinal cells. The antibody has a novel GAST-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble GAST from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
