The anti-Globo H pH-dependent antibody (VS-0825-YC146) is a pH-responsive antibody engineered to target human Globo H. This pH-switched monoclonal antibody (mAb) was developed by incorporating histidine residues into its variable regions, which results in pH-biased binding to Globo H. By leveraging the natural pH variations in different tissues and cellular compartments, this pH-responsive antibody facilitates precise targeting of Globo H on cells and tissues. Human Globo H is a tumor-associated carbohydrate antigen that is highly expressed on the surface of various cancer cells, particularly in breast and prostate cancer. It is being investigated as a target for cancer vaccines and immunotherapies.
