The anti-H. pylori and antiurease scFvs were screened for binding activity against different H. pylori strains (clinical isolates) in ELISA. The antiurease scFv F11 showed quite different immunoreactivities against the different H. pylori strains.

Antiurease scFv F11 not only bound to the recombinant H. pylori urease but also recognized a distinct band of the expected molecular mass (61 kDa) in the H. pylori lysate. No reactivity against a lysate of E. coli was observed.
