The anti-MATN3 eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against mouse MATN3. MATN3 is a protein related to cartilage development, with mutations linked to dysplasia. The antibody has a novel MATN3-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble MATN3 from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
