Mouse Anti-NAGK Recombinant Antibody (clone 1H8)

The Mouse IgG2b kappa monoclonal antibody, clone 1H8, provides specific detection of human NAGK. Its immunogen is full-length recombinant human NAGK protein, with an epitope spanning amino acids 1-344. With an approximate antigen size of 63.1 kDa, this antibody is suitable for Western Blot and ELISA, offering reliable detection for NAGK.

- Converts endogenous N-acetylglucosamine (GlcNAc), a major component of complex carbohydrates, from lysosomal degradation or nutritional sources into GlcNAc 6-phosphate (PubMed:22692205).
Involved in the N-glycolylneuraminic acid (Neu5Gc) degradation pathway: although human is not able to catalyze formation of Neu5Gc due to the inactive CMAHP enzyme, Neu5Gc is present in food and must be degraded.
