Recombinant Anti-ZG16B Eliminating Antibody, pH-Sensitive (8F3 var.)

The anti-ZG16B eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against human ZG16B. ZG16B, a salivary protein, acts as a lectin, binding to dental plaque bacteria. The antibody has a novel ZG16B-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble ZG16B from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
