The Recombinant Anti-GABRG2 Vesicular Antibody, EV Displayed (VS-0425-YC704) is an antibody-displaying extracellular vesicle (Ab-EV). The product combines the benefits of both extracellular vesicle (EV) and antibody (Ab) which can guide the decorated EVs to GABRG2-expressed cells or tissues. GABRG2 enables chloride channel activity and is involved in synaptic transmission, associated with neurological conditions like epilepsy.

Located in cell surface; dendrite membrane; and inhibitory synapse. Part of GABA receptor complex. Is active in GABA-ergic synapse; glutamatergic synapse; and postsynaptic specialization membrane. Biomarker of fetal alcohol spectrum disorder and hepatic encephalopathy. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in alcohol dependence; alcoholic liver cirrhosis; amphetamine abuse; brain disease (multiple); and heroin dependence. Orthologous to human GABRG2 (gamma-aminobutyric acid type A receptor subunit gamma2).
