The anti-HSP90 antibody is capable of recognizing cell surface HSP90 with high sensitivity, and hence is capable of detecting cell surface HSP90 of living cell in FACS analysis. Because of its capability to specifically recognize cell surface HSP90 with high sensitivity, the antibody can be used, for example, for preparing the vaccine, for delivering a substance possessing a biological activity, for an adjuvant that enhances a function of a vaccine, a tumor antigen antibody or an anti-tumor cell antibody, and in a method of specifically detecting a cell expressing cell surface HSP90.
