Background
inhA, or Enoyl-[acyl-carrier-protein] reductase [NADH], is an enzyme in the fatty acid biosynthesis pathway of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It catalyzes the NADH-dependent reduction of enoyl-ACP, a crucial step for producing long-chain fatty acids essential for mycobacterial cell wall synthesis. InhA is the target of the antitubercular drug isoniazid.
