Tissue Factor

Tissue factor (TF) is a 47 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein. Normally, expression of TF is mainly shielded from the subendothelial cell layer. Once the body's blood vessels are traumatized, TF is exposed to the bloodstream, and the exogenous coagulation reaction is initiated by binding and activating factor VII. TF is abnormally activated and expressed in many tumor tissues and plays an important role in the occurrence and development of tumors.
