Recombinant anti-IAV PB2 intrabody in fusion with +36GFP works within cells and is directed against IAV PB2, expressed in CHO cells. The anti-PB2 intrabody is potentially able to interfere with the effective nuclear transporscFv-HIV-Tation of PB2 protein, resulting in the observed resistance to influenza A virus infection in vitro.

GFP with a theoretical net charge of +36 (+36 GFP) penetrated several different mammalian cell lines at very low (nanomolar) concentrations. Cationic peptides and proteins have been observed to penetrate cells, and both natural and synthetic cell-penetrating peptides are widely used as delivery vehicles. However, whereas a covalent link between the cell-penetrating peptide and its cargo is typically required.
