Anti-Aldolase antibody is a Mouse of scFv class that binds to an Aldolase. This antibody is a catalytic aldolase antibody. The catalytic efficiency (k cat /K m) of one
of these aldolase antibodies in the
retro-aldol reaction for the best substrate is 4. 5×
10 5 s-1 M-1 , which is tenfold greater than that of
the best characterized aldolase enzyme, 10 fructose-
1,6-biphosphate aldolase (4. 9×10 4 s-1 M-1).

The protein encoded by this gene is a glycolytic enzyme that catalyzes the reversible conversion of fructose-1,6-bisphosphate to glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate and dihydroxyacetone phosphate.
