Recombinant Anti-CFHR1 Eliminating Antibody, pH-Sensitive (L20/3 var.)

The anti-CFHR1 eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against human CFHR1. CFHR1 binds pathogens, influencing complement control and linked to atypical hemolytic-uremic syndrome. The antibody has a novel CFHR1-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble CFHR1 from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
