Recombinant Anti-CGA Eliminating Antibody, pH-Sensitive (ECACC 88091403 var.)

The anti-CGA eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against human CGA. CGA is a shared subunit in glycoprotein hormones like chorionic gonadotropin. The antibody has a novel CGA-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble CGA from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
