The Rabbit Anti-DAB2 Recombinant Antibody is specific for human DAB2. DAB2 encodes a phosphoprotein expressed in normal ovarian cells but often down-regulated in carcinoma, suggesting tumor suppressor roles with interactions in growth factor pathways via proteins like GRB2. The anti-DAB2 antibody can be used for Western blot (1/500-1/1000), Immunohistochemistry (1/50-1/100), Immunoprecipitation (1/20).

- Function
- Adapter protein that functions as a clathrin-associated sorting protein (CLASP) required for clathrin-mediated endocytosis of selected cargo proteins. Can bind and assemble clathrin, and binds simultaneously to phosphatidylinositol 4, 5-bisphosphate (PtdIns(4, 5)P2) and cargos containing non-phosphorylated NPXY internalization motifs, such as the LDL receptor, to recruit them to clathrin-coated pits. Can function in clathrin-mediated endocytosis independently of the AP-2 complex.
