Recombinant Anti-DEFA1 Eliminating Antibody, pH-Sensitive (CBL014LY var.)

The anti-DEFA1 eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against human DEFA1. DEFA1 is an antimicrobial defensin protein expressed in neutrophils for immune defense. The antibody has a novel DEFA1-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble DEFA1 from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
