The anti-F12 eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against human and Baboon F12. F12 specifies factor XII, part of the coagulation cascade, carried as a zymogen. The antibody has a novel F12-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble F12 from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
