Recombinant Anti-GAL Eliminating Antibody, pH-Sensitive (5B4 var.)

The anti-GAL eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against human and mouse GAL. GAL is a peptides influencing pain perception, energy balance, and immune responses, with roles in various nervous and gastrointestinal systems. The antibody has a novel GAL-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble GAL from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
