SmartAb™ Recombinant Anti-IL27 pH-dependent Antibody (VS-0825-YC192)

The anti-IL27 pH-dependent antibody (VS-0825-YC192) targets human IL27 in a pH-dependent manner, with its affinity remaining high at neutral pH but weakening at a lower pH, such as within the acidic environment of endosomes. The anti-IL27 acid-switched antibody was engineered by incorporating histidine residues into its variable regions. The introduction of histidine substitutions within its Complementarity-Determining Regions (CDRs) enables pH-responsive antigen binding, which leads to enhanced IL27 clearance. The antibody operates in a cyclical manner, binding IL27 in the extracellular fluid and releasing it in acidified endosomes. Human IL-27, or Interleukin-27, is a cytokine that is a key regulator of T-cell differentiation. It promotes the development of Th1 cells and is involved in the immune response against intracellular pathogens.
