The anti-KLK2 eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against human KLK2. KLK2 is a highly active protease in prostatic tissue, potentially indicating cancer risk. The antibody has a novel KLK2-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble KLK2 from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
