Optimized through AI-based structural analysis, the anti-MGST1 mAb demonstrates potent binding affinity for human and rodent MGST1. MGST1 (Microsomal Glutathione S-Transferase 1) is a trimeric integral membrane protein primarily localized to the outer mitochondrial membrane and the endoplasmic reticulum. It serves as a frontline defense mechanism in the cellular antioxidant signaling pathway by catalyzing the conjugation of glutathione (GSH) to electrophilic compounds and exhibiting potent glutathione peroxidase activity. MGST1 is a critical regulator of oxidative stress and ferroptosis, protecting lipid membranes from peroxidation and modulating the activation of the MAPK/JNK signaling cascade in response to xenobiotic challenge.
