Rabbit Anti-MYL12B Recombinant Antibody (clone R14-2G-3)

CAT#: VS3-FY2170

Clone R14-2G-3 is a rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that demonstrated a greater affinity to human MYL12B protein, a calculated weight of 20 kDa. It cross-reacts with mouse, rat.
The following recommendations serve as a starting point for assay optimization. The actual working concentration may vary and should be determined by the user. The R14-2G-3 is recommended for detection of target protein by western blotting (dilution range 1:500-1:1000), immunohistochemistry (dilution range 1:100-1:200), immunofluorescence (dilution range 1:50-1:200).

Target

  • Alternative Names
  • Myosin Light Chain 12B; Myosin Regulatory Light Chain 2-B, Smooth Muscle Isoform; Myosin Regulatory Light Chain 20 KDa; Myosin, Light Chain 12B, Regulatory; Myosin Regulatory Light Chain MRLC2; Myosin Regulatory Light Chain 2; SHUJUN-1; MLC-2A
  • Post Translation Modifications
  • Phosphorylation increases the actin-activated myosin ATPase activity and thereby regulates the contractile activity.
It is required to generate the driving force in the migration of the cells but not necessary for localization of myosin-2 at the leading edge.
Phosphorylation is reduced following epigallocatechin-3-O-gallate treatment.

    Glycosylation from GlyGen (O14950) 1 site, 1 O-linked glycan (1 site)
  • Function
  • Myosin regulatory subunit that plays an important role in regulation of both smooth muscle and nonmuscle cell contractile activity via its phosphorylation. Phosphorylation triggers actin polymerization in vascular smooth muscle. Implicated in cytokinesis, receptor capping, and cell locomotion.
