SmartAb™ Recombinant Anti-PDGFD pH-dependent Antibody (VS-0825-YC282)

The anti-PDGFD pH-dependent antibody (VS-0825-YC282) targets human PDGFD in a pH-dependent manner, with its affinity remaining high at neutral pH but weakening at a lower pH, such as within the acidic environment of endosomes. The anti-PDGFD acid-switched antibody was engineered by incorporating histidine residues into its variable regions. The introduction of histidine substitutions within its Complementarity-Determining Regions (CDRs) enables pH-responsive antigen binding, which leads to enhanced PDGFD clearance. The antibody operates in a cyclical manner, binding PDGFD in the extracellular fluid and releasing it in acidified endosomes. Human PDGFD (Platelet-Derived Growth Factor D) is a growth factor that, upon proteolytic cleavage, activates the PDGF-Rβ receptor. It is involved in angiogenesis and has been implicated in the development and progression of cancer.
